Become a Driving Instructor

Do you want to become a Driving Instructor? First you have to complete a course that leads to obtaining Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport - Driving Instruction). Once qualified you must apply for a DIA (Driving Instruction Authority) at the Victorian Taxi Directorate Tel: (03) 9320 4360.

Applicants will need to pass a health check and a Police Record check. Enquiries can be made through the ADTA for details of organisations providing the course (SEE BELOW) Note: This website is specific to Victoria, Australia - If you wish to contact an Association in other Australian states, then please Click Here.


Driving Instructor Trainers

AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF FURTHER EDUCATION

 Australian Academy of Further Education is a Nationally Registered Training Organisation supplying Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Driving Instruction). This is the course required to obtain a Driving Instructor Authority in Victoria (become a driving instructor).

We specialise in individual training (one on one) as the course is competency based. Training times, duration and venues are tailored to the clients needs.

Courses are conducted throughout Victoria all year round.

UP-GRADE COURSES for people holding Certificate III in Motor Vehicle Driver Trainer are available with RPL and RCC allowed for. Up-grades are contextualised to the client’s requirements.
